Iranian Foreign Minister to Visit India Amid Kashmir Tensions Amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan over the Kashmir issue, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is set to visit India on Thursday. The Iranian Embassy in New Delhi confirmed this in a statement. According to AFP from New Delhi, prior to this visit, Araghchi had traveled to Islamabad where he held meetings with senior Pakistani government officials. He stated that Iran is ready to mediate to help ease the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. In a phone conversation last week with Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Araghchi said, "Iran is willing to work with sincere intent to reduce tensions."
